I'm BETSI, your friendly garden FAIRY

I connect mischievous mystics to nature by giving them the keys to their own secret garden. I help people find peace and joy through connection to nature using a combination of science, folk wisdom, and nature magic.

I bring my 25 years in environmental consulting and deep love for Mother Nature to help my clients grow spellbinding gardens- abundant harvests, bountiful flowers, and flourishing ecosystems- in their space.

I am inspired by castles, monasteries, and the works of St. Hildegard of Bingen. I love fantasy novels and movies including Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Outlander, and the Chronicles of Narnia.

I am a multiple brain tumor survivor who continues to rely on the wisdom of nature in my healing journey. A self-professed Lady of the Swamp, I am an animal empath, plant whisperer, beekeeper, and speak to fairies in my garden daily.

You have questions?

Here's the answers...

I don't have a yard though, do I need one?

No. Ideally you have some outdoor space- even a patio or balcony where you can start a container garden. Having space in a community garden or rented allotment is also perfect!

I have zero experience, is this even for me?

No experience is needed! With trainings, calls, courses and a supportive community, you'll get growing in no time! In the Secret Garden Society, you'll get answers to your questions quickly, without having to sort through all of the conflicting gardening content on the interwebs.

But I have a black thumb!

In the Secret Garden Society, we include mindset work to squash limiting beliefs such as "having a black thumb," being a "plant killer," or thinking "my garden isn't good enough".

We learn to work with Mother Nature instead of against her- that is where gardening magic happens.

Will replays be provided?

Replays of all live trainings and Mastermind calls will be provided in your Fairy Portal membership dashboard.

Is there a minimum commitment?

The Secret Garden Society has a 3 month minimum commitment.

Unlike what magazines and social media show you, beautiful gardens are not made in a day. Or a month. As a garden season is 3 months, there is a curriculum tailored specifically to each season.

The Secret Garden Society will open and close seasonally, so there are only 4 opportunities to join each year. Although once you enter the garden gates, you'll be forever changed.

How long before I see results?

It depends on the type of garden and if you are starting from seed or transplants. Also, it depends on your garden goals.

The quickest results I've had were from a client with a balcony container garden. There were two containers with six plants total. Bees visited flowers within a few hours and a hummingbird came to visit within four days!

What if I live in the Southern Hemisphere?

I got you! Living in a subtropical coastal climate in Charleston, SC, our seasons and garden challenges (drought, heavy rain, hurricanes, crazy wildlife) are very similar to Australia and New Zealand, just reversed.

Training and Mastermind calls will be alternated to accommodate various time zones of the members of the Society.

What do I need to start my garden sanctuary?

In the training and planning sessions, we'll go over how to create a garden budget, how to cost out garden materials (e.g., soil, gravel, plants, etc.), and lists of necessary garden tools.

In addition, a list of tools and a garden to-do checklist for each season will be provided in your Fairy Portal dashboard.
